Honda Civic Sedan 06′: VTEC, Paint Job, Rim Job?

I have a plain Honda Civic Sedan 2006. I wonder how much it would cost to paint it black. Also how much it would cost to get the same rims as a Honda Civic SI and paint them black. Also is it possible to put VTEC in it and how much would that cost?

All these questions could be answered by Honda. I realise that you will want them all cheaper but their answer will give you a ball park figure to stay below.

Good luck(nice car)

Which parts can i upgrade in my 2000 honda civic dx to tweak my performance without really adding noise?

N also which performance parts will increase or decrease my cars fuel economy

Take out all the interior parts that you don’t need. to lighten up the car.
Cheapest, easiest. You don’t need to worry about screwing up any engine or electronic parts.

Istall a K&N pod filter, will offer better economy and power, will make the car sound grunty, not loud.

How to make a black 2000 Honda Accord Ex look cool?

I recently purchased a used black 2000 Honda Accord Ex 4-cylinder in good condition. It’s pretty basic for its model, with the addition of a sunroof.
I want to add some accessories or make changes to the exterior that would add some uniqueness and make it look nicer, but is yet affordable for an average working college student. Any ideas?

ther are auto magnets that attach to the outside of the car and you can design them and change them when you want. much less expensive than painting.

How to add more horsepower to a honda civic 1995 ex coupe. engine swap or what?

i got a honda civic everything is stalk and i wanna add more horsepower so i can run faster any good ideas???? money is not a real issue

Stalk? You mean stock.

Start with
Intake
Headers
Exhaust

& go from there. If you wish to do an engine swap then by all means. Good options would be the B16A2, B18B or the K20

There are a great many alterations you can do to make the vehicle quicker: you could add a cold air intake, a turbo, larger injectors and metering body, headers, rework the head, reprogram the computer, etc. However, keep in mind that anything you do to the engine to create more horsepower needs to be handled by the rest of the vehicle. If the rest of the drive train is stock 1995 you could be setting yourself up for some problems. Making a vehicle faster is a venture of matching a number of things together so it will go faster and stay together long enough to do it over and over again. Don’t forget the bottom end of the engine, the clutch, the transmission, the axles and tires. Also, a turbo creates a lot of heat which will require better cooling for the engine.

Swap to a b-series engine. The honda b-series engines are fairly cheap and have almost unlimited aftermarket support. If money isn’t really an issue the definitely go with a k-series. They cost more than the b-series but have a way higher output and also have a lot of aftermarket support. If you want some insane power and decide to turbo the car, go for a b20 engine and turbocharge that. The b20 has lower compression than the other b-series engines

I would certainly suggest doing an engine swap to a b20 vtec or even a k24 if possible. You can add a whole bunch to that engine but you really aren’t going to see much gain. when it comes to Honda any vtec engine can build nicely. this is of course considering if money really isn’t an issue. If you find it necessary to build on the engine you have now you have to start simple. Intake and exhaust. aftermarket honda parts are everywhere so get a Cold Air Intake, some headers, and an exhaust system to start.

427V8 engine,4 barrel carb.So you may have to put the engine on a shortened Chevy frame and Screw the Honda body over-top of it. (maybe, as I do not know the body measurements of a Honda)

It is a little bit of work. You did say "money no object."

Before you poo poo my idea, I did it with my 1964 V W Beetle on top of a 55 Chev Belair frame which was shortened. Body bolted on and the drive-shaft needed shortening. It looked like a stock VW with nothing showing (especially not the fact that there was a V8 under the hood up front).so all you need is a measuring tape and some ideas and a welder and a cutting torch and the parts.

i have a 93 civic dx yhat had the same engine as urs a 1.5 they obly run like 90hp i switched mine out for a 1.6 vtec d16 which has 130hp and very fast.. its soo easy to do it bolts in the stock tranny.. also a turbo for these cars if ur in tht big of a thrill starts at $3200 for a gerret turbo complete package.. but i would do the swap first.. even if u put a stage 2 cluch in u will have alot more wheel power good luck

Turbo and Tune.

Is it safe to drive my Honda Accord if TCS light and Brake Light is on?

My TCS lightand Brake light are on. Is it safe to still drive my Car?

Safe?Definitely not.
There is a reason those lights are on and it isn’t to make your dash look pretty.

That all really depends on if the lights are the issue or if failure the systems they’re designed to warn you about are the issue, tcs usually means traction control system which you don’t really need(I usually turn my traction control off unless the road is wet or something however I wouldn’t chance it with the brake light on. If you have to ask this question, you shouldn’t drive the car, my rule of thumb is if you don’t think it’s safe, it’s not, better safe than sorry.

Hi No it is not as it shows it has a brake problem which needs fixing and the chances are the brakes will not work. it could cause an accident and if it was found out you drove it in that state the police could prosecute you.

I have a 98 Honda Civic coop with moon roof, and recently the alarm remote stopped working.?

I cannot start my car without unlocking it first, when i open the door the alarm sounds, but the remote does not shut it off, even though the red light on the remote shows it has battery life. I even changed the battery! ahh help me

Maybe try and google a Honda car forum or something. There must be a group around that discuss things like this…Good luck!!

i would try googling or i had an alarm key fob before that had gotten some moisture in it and i took it apart and cleaned some blackish junk from the contacts where the buttons hit and it worked perfectly from then on. i had also been trying to replace the battery even tho it wasnt showing dead and my remote worked only sporadically

Thinking about buying an 03 honda pilot ex with 150,000 miles.?

Wondering if any current or previous pilot owners could share their experience. I am very hesitant to buy something with such high miles but I thought because its a honda it might be ok but have heard bad things about the transmission. Right now we have an 04 civic ex coupe but we are expecting another baby in january and need more space. The price is right and I plan to get mechanical breakdown insurance.

You are correct: those years had horrible transmission problems.Even after Honda performed an ‘update’ and installed a secondary cooling jet to keep the 2nd gear from overheating, some still had catastrophic problems. If you can get a warranty to cover it, get the longest one you can.

yes the older pilots have had transmission issues, they throw torque converter codes all the time. You would be better spending a little more money and getting an 06 or newer.
